Not the ideal start, but a start nonetheless. Where am I? Back at my parent’s house after a whole three days on the road. Why? Because I forgot my camera charger, realised I packed triple of what I need, and the planned holiday before the holiday to relax at the beach became somewhat of washout with 30mm of rain each day.
There was also a little responsible yellow canary on my shoulder that told me the hot air blowing out of the air conditioner in the Hilux isn’t normal and I should have that looked at – three day wait and $700 later to have the compressor replaced. That damn bird is now also responsible for me not driving my car because she chirped in my ear that driving the Hilux when it’s making a weird whooping sound, occasionally grinding, and pulsating under the brake pedal is not a good idea. Damn her.
So here I am, trying to dig deep into that pot of resilience and scrape out the remains, ignore the fact that Travis’ “Why does it always rain on me” is currently on repeat in my head, and be thankful that I am having these issues prior to really leaving. Hooray.
And now for your listening pleasure, please let me introduce, Travis.
